Our Founder's Journey
Scotty James, our visionary founder, has experienced the enchantment of Nashville’s legendary music venues firsthand. Living and performing in this vibrant city, he discovered the power of songs sung from the heart to connect deeply with audiences. This realization led to the creation of Backyard Music Co.
During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, with lockdowns and concert cancellations disrupting the music industry, Scotty turned to his own backyard. He began performing impromptu concerts for his neighbors and friends, channeling the spirit of Nashville’s intimate songwriters’ showcases into his own community. The response was nothing short of magical. These backyard gatherings, filled with the soulful sounds of original compositions, became the inspiration behind Backyard Music Co.
What started as a simple idea has now grown into a remarkable movement.
